A Different Kind of Samba Star to Make Rhythms at The Lane

Tottenham did last week comfirmed what we all were hoping for, they have signed a new number 1 in Brazilian Heurelho Gomes!
Something I personally think is a marvelous signing!

But, I have seen on other blogs that some fans are not as sure as I am, and think he is no better than Paul "can't catch a ball if my life depend on it" Robinson.
Don't get me wrong, I have loads of respect for Paul but his form the last two seasons have been horrible.

But my reason for this blog is to give you some facts and reasons for changing your impression of Gomes, or simply just confirm what a lot of you think already.

Facts:

He has held 60% clean-sheets in his Eredivisie matches, only in history to do that!
(And those of you that argue that the Dutch leauge is "s**t" can just look at the players coming from there the last two decades)

He have had 3 periods in which he has gone for 817, 956 and 976 minutes without conceding a goal.

He won the Eredivisie Division in all of his seasons with PSV. (Winning mentality)

Some have also pointed out to me that he was not popular among the fans in Holland and to prove you guys wrong I have added a video underneath.

snif, Heurelho, you'll be missed.

Espen, I really like the way you're grasping the attention of the Spurs fan. Well done!
